Welcome to my WebGL visualization of uniform polyhedra. WebGL provides 3D graphics in a web browser without the use of plug-ins. A uniform polyhedron is a polyhedron which has regular polygons as faces and is vertex-transitive.
A pre-computed polyhedra data set will be downloaded and then processed to generate the polyhedron models. These models are then displayed somewhat interactively, hopefully using hardware acceleration. Note that the initial page load will take a little time since there is a fair amount to download and process. Just click below to get going.

A recent standards compliant browser is required for WebGL to work. I am using Firefox and Chrome. For help on getting WebGL click here.
If the polyhedra fails to work then you might like to check out these screenshots:
The uniform polyhedra as displayed by WebGL can be ordered from my shop at Shapeways.

Wikipedia is a good place to start for those interested in uniform polyhedra.
